How gross can it get?

So, yesterday (Friday) on my way to the teacher lounge during my prep period, I walked past the main office where two of our secretaries were freaking out. I just laughed and continued walking. When I was heading back to my class they were still hovering over something. The curiosity got the best of my and I wandered into the office. Deb and JoMae were standing over one of the phones (Deb's phone). I asked what was going on and Deb told me that Thursday she was on the phone with a lawyer because the school's records were subpoenaed. While she was on the phone a cockroach climbed out of the phone and she freaked out. Right before I walked past, she had noticed a ton of little poops, and so she started to investigate. As she tapped the phone, more roaches fell out of the phone. Now, they were trying to take the back off of the phone. Right after I walked into the office, so did the area tech guy. He had a screwdriver and began to take off the back. Deb was still freaking out and kept saying that everyone uses that phone. She's lucky she has a headset. Everyone else doesn't! Once it was half-way off, he shook it and a bunch of baby roaches fell out. He shook it again and adult roaches fell out. At this point, I couldn't stand it much longer and I left.

I talked to Deb after school and she said that they sprayed the phone and that she wasn't allowed to use it until Monday. I hope this doesn't get around to Bob, but why don't they just buy a new phone! It was revolting to see that many cockroaches living in a phone!
