Christmas day with the Clevelands

We had a great Christmas! Trevor woke up earlier than usual to start our festivities. Trevor has some yummy oatmeal and would rather play than open presents; luckily we convinced him that unwrapping presents was more fun. He opened his first gift (bathtime Elmo) and he wasn't interested in anything other toys. But we once we got going, there was no stopping him. Trevor got two things that he absolutely loves! First is the Elmo Live. He will carry this around and loves to push his nose which honks. Trevor loves the honking noise! Then he loves a blue ball. He will pick it up and throw it. He loves it when you roll the ball back to him.

Scott and I had a good Christmas as well. We've started a tradition before we open presents to read a story that teaches that Santa is a servant unto Christ and a helper. It really is beautiful. We go through the story and take each of the items mentioned in the story out of a "Santa" bag. Each item represents something about Christmas time. If anyone would like a copy of this story, let me know.

I got Scott the new expansion for World of Warcraft. He thought I wasn't going to get this for him, and I wasn't. But he is very hard to shop for. He loves it and was truely suprised. I also got him Volume 2 of Beavis and Butt-head and the new Nickelback CD. Scott splurged and got the Wii fit for me. I have used the two days that I've had it and my abs and thighs hurt. This is great. The game is kind of brutal though. Apparently I don't have good balance. Here are some pictures of Trevor playing in his toys. Well, actually us trying to get him to play in his toys.

The next two show an interesting story. Trevor loves olives, they're his favorite treat. Well, for our Christmas lunch we opened a can poured some onto a plate and put the can with some olives still in it on the counter. Well, the three of us were enjoying our new toys (or so I thought) when I see Trevor walk around the corner holding the can. I asked Scott if he gave the can to Trevor. He didn't! Trevor had reached up and grabbed the can off of the counter and was carrying them around (he didn't spill any!) eating them straight out of the can!

Caught in the act!
