Today was quite a day. Right when I woke Trevor up to take him to the sitter's he ran into the bathroom. I ushered him out and put him behind him. I didn't know his fingers had found their way into the door hinge area and went to close the door, his fingers are now smashed.
Yesterday there was an assembly for the incoming 5th graders in which certain students were to perform for them. Well, sadly there was some miscommunication and the teachers were not notified. So here we have a ton of students all of a sudden gone without a moment's notice. Lessons were nearly destroyed. Well, today at lunch we had a nice little "discussion" about it. To make a long story short, it was sort of entertaining and I left early to not be a part of this conversation--if you really want more details, call me, we can talk.
After school, I needed to talk to Julie about the matter that had happened at lunch. As I walk out of my classroom shortly after the bell I come across two young men fighting. What I saw was Joe (names have been changed) push James into a wall. Joe started to walk away and I yell at Joe to stop and push my way through the students. James runs after Joe and takes a punch at Joe but Joe ducks and moves away. This is where I reach them after pushing through the throng of students. I walk them down to the office where I explain what I observed. I'm sure I will find out the story tomorrow.
All of this in one day. What else will Thursday Feb. 5 hold in store for Sarah Cleveland
