Student Poem

One of my student's brought me a poem today. I would like to share it. It really made my day.

My Teacher....
For of course: Mrs. Cleveland

I love my teachers, yes I do,
They teach me math, art, and Language Arts too.
Language Arts is my best topic,
But mostly everything is,
Now back to the subject.
I'm thankful for her,
Her name rhymes with seasons,
Have you guessed it?
Yup! It's Mrs. Cleveland!
She had us do a book report on biography or auto,
I picked biography and right choices is my motto!
My book was on Hitler,
Just kidding, gotcha!
My book was really on Queen Cleopatra
The book report went very well,
But for now, I must say farewell.

Isn't that cute? She's one of my 6th graders. The paper is even filled with little drawings all over the place to illustrate things in the poem. My favorite was she wrote this on cursive day and she even pointed out that it was in cursive.

These types of things really make me glad I do what I do!
