Supporting MS

Every year a fellow teacher at my school does an MS walk. He started doing this because he has MS. According to an article published in the Deseret News, he has raised over 65,000 dollars in the past 5 years. I am happy to say that I have had a little contribution in that. His team is called the Pfunder Pfighters (His name is Kevin Pfunder). Well, he is now receiving an award for all his help. A couple of weeks before this big black tie shindig he came in and told us at lunch that he was getting this award for his help with MS. He said he bought a suit off of ebay and had to lose weight to fit into it. Every now and then he would come in and tell us how much he had to lose to fit into this suit. Now, if you know Pfunder, you know that he is a rather goofy guy (to say the least). So for him to even have any type of suit is crazy.

One day he came into the faculty room and said that a newspaper did an article on him and he commented on the suit (just to be funny). Well, a man in SLC read this, called a suit shop down here in St. George, and offered to pay for ANY suit that Pfunder needed for this event. How cool is that???

I am so happy that I have had the priviledge to work with Kevin, he is a funny guy and loves to teach. The students love him and the faculty finds him funny. He not only helps with MS but does a lot of stuff for the school (last year he taught all of his kids Thriller and they performed it dressed in Halloween costumes on Halloween). Kudos to Kevin.

Here is a link to an article about this event. I tried to find the one that had more info on him, but I couldn't find it.
