Washer Drama

I've wanted a new washer for a long time. We've had our washer for about two years and we bought it refurbished from Nick's, a shop that Scott used to work at in Cedar. The washer looks like it was brand new in the mid-90s, very old. Anyway, it's been a good washer, but I just wanted to put more in it than I could. Well, you can imagine my excitement when it broke. Woohoo! New washer for me. We first went to Boulevard Home Furnishings. We found nothing we liked there and moved on to Lowe's. As we were making our way back to the appliance section we found it. A $1000 Bosch washer on clearance for $499! We quickly found an associate and began to drill him on it. There was a loose bolt that is now fixed. WHAT! We'll take it.

That was Wednesday, Thursday it was delivered right as I was leaving for work, and right as Scott was coming home. This should only take a minute, Scott can go to sleep then. They install it, Scott tests it, and IT LEAKS! So he calls them back and they replace several hoses trying (with each new try going back to Lowe's). Finally they offer us choices: we can return it for a full refund, or they can call a repair man at their cost. Call the repair man! So, the repair man says he will be right over...an hour later he shows up, in which he works on the washer for another hour. (Remember Scott just got off a grave shift) He fixes it and the washer doesn't leak. Scott didn't get to bed until 11:15 (he got off of work at 7). We do a load a Thursday and two on Friday. Well, during the second load on Friday it started to leak again. No wonder this washer was 1/2 off. If Lowe's will pay for the repair man again, we are going to try again to have it fixed, if not, we are going to return it and get one that comes in a box.

On the bright side Trevor is as cute as ever. When putting on socks and shoes he helps us by lifting his feet up. He getting over his little ear infection and is his usual curious exploratory self. Now just if those teeth that have been trying to come in for months would come in it would a perfect world...almost.
