The Case of the Missing Cell Phone

Scott's phone went missing on Tuesday. We searched the house, we tore apart drawers, cabinets, and looked in the most unconventional places. We finally assumed it has been stolen. Our original thought was that the thief was a little boy by the name of Trevor Ian Cleveland. But that turned up with no leads. We called Sprint and requested that the number last dialed be told to us; they rejected. Finally, we discovered through a helpful customer service agent that the last number dialed was indeed a number that Scott had called. Where could this phone be? Wednesday we ventured into the Sprint store ready to cancel and pay a $300 early cancellation. One too many run-ins with this company is enough. We discover that we can activate the old phone until we find the new one or decide to cancel. Worried that we would be resigning our contract, we question the sales guy for several hours making sure we are not resigning our contract. After being reassured we reactivate the old phone. That evening when Scott was home on break he looks in a spot that never crossed our minds. Sure enough, the thief was this young 15 month old Mr. Cleveland. Here are some pictures of the crime scene:

Where is this contraption that it is in?

Have you figured it out?
