Monday April 5th I didn't have school, but I still sent Trevor to daycare and Scott had to work. I took advantage of this and enjoyed myself. I started by organizing my coupons to take advantage of K-mart's double couponing going on this week. You can only do 5 coupons a day, so I split up the different transactions and plan on going back each day this week. Today I bought 1 Gillette Body Wash, 1 Visine, 1 Tampax, and 2 Nivea body washes. The grand total was just over $25. Then the coupons started. I only spent $5.37. Which means $20 in coupons. I can't wait to go back tomorrow. They have some other deals such as rebates and stuff, that I am going to try to incorporate getting those as well. We'll see.
I headed home and weeded my garden. I didn't know it needed it so bad, but it looks better. A relaxing bath sure helped those sore muscles! I couldn't believe how hungry I was after that so I headed to Durango's for one of their tasty salads. I pulled our my frequent diner card only to realize that I was due for a FREE meal. Scott was able to take his lunch at this time so I got some extra time with him.
I cuddled up with the last of the Fablehaven series and realized it was finally time to get Trevor. I hopped in the car and headed over the sitter's. As I was loading Trevor into the car I noticed Scott had called and sad he found a wood bassinet for $50. I wanted to look at it. It was probably just a cheap-o Wal-mart one, but we wanted one. I drove over to check it out and it's beautiful. It's a rocking bassinet that's hand-crafted from solid wood! The best part is that it came with the mattress too!
I gave them $60 for the bassinet because they even delivered it to our house. They were so nice and it turned out I was buying from one of my good student's older brother. They really didn't want to part with it and this bassinet is worth more than even $60. We got a really good bargain.
That's all of the good bargains for today. I can't wait to find more!
