So much better this week. I didn't think I was going to even try when getting ready for church Trevor fought me on everything. Even putting things into his bag. But we made it. Trevor did great through Sacrament meeting and he even made a new friend during it. They shared toys and snacks, might be why he did so well. As I was talking to Trevor's new friend's dad, Trevor made a beeline into the men's bathroom! I tried to grab him, but it was too late. I grabbed someone and asked them to go get my son, but he wasn't coming out. After about 3 minutes another male was going in, a few seconds later he asked "is yours the one in the checkered shirt?" Yeah, is everything okay?" "Well, he locked himself in the stall, and now he's pantless." Right at that moment he comes Trevor waltzing out of the bathroom in just his shirt. The man grabbed Trevor's shoes, pants, and Pull-up and gave them to me. I took Trevor into the ladies' restroom and he ran into a stall, climbed on, and relieved himself (I'm pretty sure he went in the men's restroom as well). Trevor was so proud of himself (and so was I; I didn't really care that he took off into the men's bathroom: HE WENT TO THE BATHROOM AT CHURCH!!! Which for all of us potty training mamas knows is a big deal. We washed our hands and went to nursery. The next two hours were great. When I went to pick him up, I was told he just told the nursery leaders in there that he had to go potty. So we run to the bathroom, where he proceeds to lock me out of the stall, but he went again dang it so I really don't care.
This week compared to last week: HEAVEN SENT! It's amazing knowing that the Lord knows how much one person can handle during church. I am so grateful that the Lord knows me well enough to know that I can't handle 2 weeks like last week in a row.
